Women's Health & Fitness day 09

By Staff January 26th, 2009

Sponsored by the University of Michigan Medical School

On January 24th, 2009 the Body-Mind-Spirit team participated in the 2009 Women's Health & Fitness Day. The event was organized by members of the University of Michigan Medical School, and they reached out to us to find experts in holisitc, alternative, and complimentary healing. Several of our therapists and instructors taught workshops throughout the day. The event was a wonderful opportunity and nearly 350 people (women & men) attended.

We look forward to future collaborations with the University of Michigan, so keep your eyes and ears open for upcoming possibilities!

Lynda Gronlund - My training is different for everyone depending on their goals, but some aspects remain the same. I help people make gradual change toward healthier and more fit lives by tailoring plans to each individual and setting realistic and specific goals. I emphasize strength, endurance and flexibility which are the three components of complete physical fitness, and I incorporate traditional exercises, movements from martial arts, dance, pilates and yoga.
